Malasia
We arrived in Kuala Lumpur after a bus journey of about 5 hours. The buses here are super comfortable, with wide reclining seats and footrests, a dream, if only planes were like this!!!
Upon arriving in the city, we withdrew some money and wanted to take a bus to get to the hotel, but in the end, we couldn’t figure out how to buy the tickets. We were tired and took a taxi for the modest sum of 40 Ringgit (about €8). The prices are more affordable compared to Singapore. I know they are two different countries, but the difference is huge. European countries, in comparison, have very similar prices. The hotel is fantastic; this time Giusy outdid herself and found a beautiful hotel at a reasonable price with a rooftop pool on the 37th floor and a view of the Petronas Towers! So beautiful, I must say that after a month of makeshift places, it was very nice and relaxing :)
We visited the Petronas Towers, did some shopping, bought some tank tops (you can’t survive with t-shirts), and I bought a trolley for my suitcase, which gets heavier every day ;) We also visited a temple at the Batu Caves and saw a Batik factory, a fascinating fabric dyeing technique typical of Malaysia. Of course, we couldn’t resist and bought a beautiful silk Batik.
It was two very nice days, especially because the hotel was fantastic ;) and the Petronas Towers too!
Today, September 8th, we left to the Cameron Highlands, heading to the tea plantations!
