Jimbaran

We left the Gili Islands on September 2nd, again with the Golden Queen, and at the port, our trusted taxi driver Gede was waiting for us. He took us to the south of Bali for the last stop in Indonesia.

Sber and Vale left for Bangkok the next day, and I stayed a few days south of the airport near Jimbaran beach. I stayed in an Airbnb in a very cute and clean little house where I had a room and could share the spaces with Bonne, the owner. Very quiet and super economical, €11 per night. I rented a scooter from Bonne and went to the sea. The area is great for surfers, with big beaches and waves. Like in the Gili Islands, there is low tide in the evening, and the sunset is very impressive. I was able to cook and finally made myself some spaghetti :) which were so good, guys, after a while you miss them, and I hadn’t eaten them since I was home in Berlin, so almost 2 months! It was a relaxing stop, I did the laundry, slept a lot, and took some walks by the sea. For surfers, it’s a great stop; I prefer snorkeling, so it’s not my first choice, but I had a good time.

On September 5th, I left for Singapore, where I will meet Giusy, with whom I will travel for 3 weeks through Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
